| Coach Bernie after his second Ironman World Championship finish |
Welcome and thanks for stopping in.
CoachBernie.org specializes in developing comprehensive multi-sport training programs
for all ages and abilities - from the first season sprint triathlete to the long-distance veteran wishing to qualify for Kona
or Boston.
Coach
Bernie's athletes train between five and 20 hours per week depending on their experience, goals and available time and
we use a mix of training methods and mental preparedness to maximize athletic performance. Essentially, plans for athletes
focusing on shorter distance races include more high intensity work than athletes training for long-distance races. However,
we believe in building a strong base of aerobic conditioning before moving into interval-based session. We also believe in
supplementary strength training to maintain or improve power and to prevent injuries.
